This apartment was booked several months in advance. Any questions or requests for advice or assistance were always quickly and well answered by the host. On arrival we were met by a sister, as I have since learned, who efficiently ran over the how-to’s of the apartment and locations of nearby stores and restaurants, etc. A guide was sent in advance outlining everything from transportation options, cultural events, food shops and restaurants – very valuable, a very thoughtful add-on.David
Of all the Airbnb places we stayed at across Europe this summer, Gabriella was by far the best host and offered the best flat. She was always available for questions before our trip and sent us a fantastic guide that helped with our planning. She even made us a reservation for dinner one night. My mother arrived a day before the rest of us and Gabriella was helped talk with her in advance and let her into the flat hours earlier once she arrived.
The flat itself is terrific. Very central so we walked to the Colosseum and there was a taxi stand around the corner so very convenient on our tour. The air conditioning is much-needed in the July heat and the layout and two bathrooms were great for 5 people (including two kids). We made good use of the kitchen and laundry and Gabriella let us store our luggage there for several hours on our last day before our train.
Top notch host and great flat. My highest recommendation for both!Kristin
My family of five stayed in this beautiful apartment for four nights. The apartment was spacious and very well presented. There was plenty of room for all our gear, the bathrooms were lovely, with plenty of room. The laundry was very convenient. We had room to relax and enjoy getting to know Rome.
The apartment is very close to transportation and is wonderfully close to the Colosseum – we walked to it most days. The gelato from the store at the end of the street was wonderful!
We would definitely stay again if came to Rome.Karen M. Toole
We were met by Gabriella’s sister, who showed us the apartment. We arrived late, there were some drinks and crackers for us, that was a very nice gesture.
The apartment is very nice, spacious and well equiped, the Irish pub across the street was noisy on one of our nights, not so much on the other nights. We stayed as a family of 6, that was very comfortable.
Monti is a very nice neighbourhood, we enjoyed dinner at Trattoria Monti very much. You can easily walk to the Colosseum, even just for a night visit.
We would definitely recommend Casa di Lina! Thanks for letting us stay with you Gabriella!Ferry
This apartment was perfect for accessing all of Rome. Exceptional bedrooms, living area and bathrooms. Very clean and comfortable with a great kitchen if you choose to do your own cooking or just bring in some breakfast treats. The available washer/dryer was a big plus over other places we have stayed. Our hostess Gabriella was very helpful and provided an excellent written guide for the area prior to our arrival.
We hope to come back (2 adults & 2 teenagers) on our next visit to Italy.Nick
The apartment was perfect. We staying in three places during our trip to Italy and this one was, by far, the nicest.
The apartment had everything you could ever need and was only a few blocks from Termini station, a taxi stand, and the hop-on-hop-off bus tours we used as alternative transportation. The apartment was spacious, clean and so perfect for our needs.
Someone met us at the apartment and showed us what we needed. Later when we couldn’t figure out the washing machine, our calls and emails were promptly returned. Thanks!!Amy
My family of 6 stayed here … It was perfect. Great room setup and so close to everything. We walked most places with ease. The homeowner was very helpful and checked in to make sure we were all set. We had a great experience!Kdodeja
We had a very pleasurable experience in Gabriella’s apartment. Very modern, roomy and in a great location. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Gabriella!!Don

My family stayed in casa di lina for two weeks in September. We are a family of five with three girls. This apartment comes very highly recommended from us. Gabriella was waiting for us at the apartment and was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. She has left an excellent guide to the neighbourhood in the apartment and the house manual is informative. The apartment looked just like the photos. It was extremely clean and well equipped. There are three large bedrooms and two big bathrooms which looked recently renovated. The kitchen was easy to cook in when we wanted to eat in. The apartment is light and cosy. Some noise from the street can be heard but it wasn’t a big issue for us. The area of Monti is a fantastic place to stay. There are shops, bars, supermarkets and many good places to eat very close by. Termini, the colosseum, piazza Venezia and centro storico are within easy walking distance. We didn’t use public transport much but there is a metro stop less than 10 mins walk away. We loved wandering the streets all day and having somewhere so great to return to at night. We loved our time in Rome and will return soon. Thank you so much Gabriella for being a fantastic host.Kathryn
Daniel
This was our first experience of renting somewhere to stay through Airbnb, and it worked really well. They apartment was lovely – well appointed, with plenty of space for six of us, tastefully decorated and very handy for Termini station, the Coliseum, and Pyramide station (for a trip to Ostia Antica). We felt it was very good value, and would definitely recommend it as a place to stay. Gabrielle’s friend, Laura, gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful. Thank you very much.Karen
We had a wonderful weekend at Gabriella’s Casa di Lina Monti. We were graciously welcomed by Gabriella’s sister who took the time to fully explain everything to us and to make sure we were comfortable . The apartment was very clean, quite comfortable for the 5 of us and quiet. The apartment has vaulted ceilings, beautiful large doors and windows with excellent courtyard and street views. The kitchen and the common/living room were spacious and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms, especially the showers were excellent. The apartment is in a great location, within easy walking distances to. all attractions. The neighbourhood was very safe and the local restaurants amazing. Staying at Casa di Lina made our first trip to Rome worry free and unforgettable. Thank you Gabriella for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Sue Groover Burlington, Ontario, CanadaSue G.
I’m so happy we got this apartment for our six-day stay in Rome. Gabriella was very responsive and helpful with all my questions about the apartment before our stay, and then toward the end with information to facilitate our departure.
The apartment is really lovely! It is very spacious–six people could get along very easily there–and is tastefully decorated. Everything is brand-new and in perfect condition. The AC works wonderfully, as do the modern showers and all bathroom fixtures.
Most of all, the location right near the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore is very convenient. It is walking distance to the Coliseum and an area overlooking the Forum (near the street Madonna del Monti) where there are nice restaurants and shops. The famous Panella bakery/cafe is nearby and there is a decent pizzeria and trattoria right on the small street where the apartment is located.
We feel very lucky we ended up staying here!Coco
The stay was great! The location is in a quite area with great restaurants. Compared to the Spanish steps area this area is so relaxing. Our host was very responsive. If you are looking for complete quite be aware that the pizzeria across the street is open late and the owner congregates till 1 am. If you close the window you won’t hear them. All in all a great experience and a great value!!Benjamin
Our family of 5 (3 children) enjoyed staying in this comfortable & modern apartment in the heart of Rome. Great location for walking to the Colosseum/Forum. Francesca welcomed us at the apartment and gave us all the information we needed. I would recommend it!Emma
The location of this accommodations is fantastic and all requirements for a family stay are provided. Carola and Family are extremely helpful and quick to respond to any requests. Transport to and from airport was very convenient via taxi with a taxi rank just around the cornerPeter&Carolyn
Cucina, bagni e accessori vari all avanguardia delle nuove tecnologieElena
Our group of six adults had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The apartment had all the conveniences of home, was very spacious and very well decorated. The location was great; walking distance to the Colisseum, close to both Metro lines, near bus stops and taxi stands. Lots of food options and markets for groceries.
Our hosts were awesome! They checked in on us, left us great tips for exploring Rome and were there when we arrived and left.
Awesome place to stay at while visiting an awesome city! I will definitely be back!
Great place in a central location. Easy communication with host and quick response to any issues/questions that came up throughout.Peter
Gabriella and Francesca were outstanding hosts. They were waiting for us when we arrived, helped us get settled and even stocked the apartment with some treats. The apartment was beautifully remodeled, clean, spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is close to shops, markets, restaurants and public transportation. We would definitely stay here again.Jonathan W.
My family stayed in Gabriella’s lovely apartment for two nights. The apartment is comfortable and very well located. The space was pristine in terms of cleanliness and the bonus for us was the air conditioning (there was a heat wave in Rome when we were there) and the availability of the washer / dryer (lost luggage on the way into Rome). We were able to store our bags after we checked out and prior to our departure from Rome, which was incredibly convenient. When we’re lucky enough to be back in Rome one day, we will certainly plan it so that we can stay at Casa di Lina Monti again!Kim
Gabriella was always an email away to answer my questions before we arrived. She met us at the apartment and showed us around. The apartment was much bigger than I thought it would be. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us. My 3 year-old loved her “rainbow bed”, a multi-colored pack n play. The 2 bathrooms were big. One of the showers had multiple heads. The neighborhood was great, lots of places to eat and little stores for supplies within a few blocks. It was really nice to have a fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washer and dryer in the apartment. The decor was family friendly. You could tell it was recently updated. The windows were double pained which made it very quiet. There was an air conditioning unit in each bedroom and dining room. We loved it after being out all day. Gabriella responded quickly to a few questions we had while there. She was a wonderful host and it was a fantastic apartment. We walked to all the major tourist spots, except the Vatican. We would definitely stay there again if we were to come back.Stephanie
The apartment was perfect for us in every way. We were a family of 6 adults and the apartment had everything needed for our stay. Gabriella is wonderful and replied to all communication promptly. We were met by her sister who gave us a tour of the apartment and also had the fridge stocked with a few essentials which was great! There is a market and pharmacy just around corner for anything else you may need. The location is excellent, an easy walk down the hill to the colosseum and also very convenient to termini (train) station as well. The beds are comfortable and each room has air conditioning for the warmer days. I would stay here again.Drew
This was one of the best places we stayed in during our tour of Europe. There were four of us – me, my wife and our two teenage children – and we were met at the door by Gabriella’s sister, who showed us through the apartment. The apartment was clean, there was more than enough space for us, and everything we needed was supplied. We left Rome on an afternoon train, and Gabriella arranged it so we could leave our luggage in the apartment and pick it up later.
The best thing about this apartment is the location. It is an easy to walk from Termini train station, so no matter how you arrive – by train or plane -you can walk to it in 10 minutes. Also, being close to the metro, all of Rome’s sites are easily accessible. Many are within walking distance. Finding restaurants and shops selling food is easy. There are many in the neighborhood.
This was a great place to stay and Gabriella was a wonderful host.Keith
This was the perfect place for 6 people! Large rooms, comfortable beds, and great bathrooms! There is not one bad thing we can say about our stay here!Magda P.
Gabriella was awesome! My relatives and I had an early flight in so Gabriella let us check in a bit early. Her apt was a 5 minute walk from the train station and the neighborhood is really close to the Colosseum and other popular tourist destinations. The apt has 3 bedrooms, a large kitchen, a living room and two full baths. Very accommodating for our family of 5. Would definitely stay here again!Kate
The apartment was perfect for our family (2 adults, 2 teens). It was in a great location, near the train station and metro stops and a short walk to the coliseum, forum, palatine hill, etc. There was a grocery store nearby. We also went to the the Chinese restaurant 2-3 doors down on two different nights – very good and so convenient.
The air conditioning worked very well which was important on all of the 98+ degree days. Everything was clean and worked properly and was as shown in the description. Gabriella was always very responsive and checked in (via email) during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Although she could not meet us during check-in, she had her friend meet us and everything taken care of in a friendly, professional manner.
We stayed in three Airbnb accommodations during this trip and this one was far and away the best one! Thanks Gabriella!
Our family toured Italy in April of 2015 and spent four nights in Rome at this lovely apartment. There were five of us, including my wife, brother, his daughter and our father. We stayed in several different properties during our vacation, and this was by far our favorite. The location was very convenient to the places we wanted to see (the Vatican, Ancient Rome, and other parts of the city). The apartment itself was well-appointed, clean and very nicely decorated. Most importantly, Gabriella and her family were great to work with. They were easy to communicate with before our visit, as we were working out the many details of the trip. Gabriella’s sister, Francesca, met us the night we arrived and did a wonderful job of showing us the apartment, answering all our questions and making sure we had all the information we needed to enjoy the apartment. And during our stay, Gabriella followed up with us by email, to be sure everything was going smoothly. We would highly recommend this apartment for anyone staying in Rome for more than a few days. We would definitely go back!Terry M.
This apartment exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and immaculate, and the location was great…a short walk to the Colosseum, Termini, and metro station. Gabriella responded to email questions immediately, and her sister met us at our arranged check in time to give us the keys and go over some basics…a/c, wifi, etc. It was wonderful being able to leave our bags there early on check in day, and late on check out day. The beds were so comfortable…very important after long days seeing the sites. I highly recommend this beautiful place…you won’t be disappointed!Joanne
Gabriella’s sister met us upon our arrival. She was very welcoming & showed us everything we needed to know. Would highly recommend this rental to anyone.Michael
We had a lovely time at Casa di Lina, I couldn’t recommend it more! The flat is very stylish and comfortable, and conveniently located in trendy neighbourhood, Monti.
Gabriella was an excellent host, offering us useful advice and guidance throughout our stay. Her sister greeted us on arrival and we were made feel very welcome. The fridge was also stocked with some well received refreshments, which was a nice touch.
We never quite made it to popular restaurant La Taverna dei Fori Imperiali (recommended by Gabriella) but maybe next time!Sarah
We were friendly welcomed at the appartement by Francisca and Gabriela.
The appartement is great, very large bed room, fully equiped and well located to have visit Rome, it also very quiet in spite of beeing close to a lively restaurant zone. We had a great time.
The apartment was excellent! It was very spacious and very well located; close to both metro stops, taxi stand, and bus lines. Our group of six adults found the apartment to be very comfortable and accommodating; it had everything you could possibly need and the beds were very comfortable, perfect after long days of walking through Rome.
The neighborhood is great; lots of food options and markets. I recommend a beer at Druids across the street.
Gabriella and Francesca were great hosts; checked in on us, communicated a smooth check-in, and had very helpful tips for our trip.
I definitely recommend this apartment!
We will never stay at a hotel again! The apartment is well appointed, comfortable and private. It is well located within walking distance of the Coliseum and Forum and many other sites. Gabriella is simply as helpful as she is wonderful. She provided us with a Roma guide recommendation that could not have been better. And the restaurants she recommended were perfect. We were greeted at the apartment by Gabriella’s charming sister who gave us a tour of this lovely apartment. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and took in more of what Roma has to offer. We will, of course, stay here again on our next trip to this fascinating country.RKF100
Merci Gabriella!Nathalie
Gabriella was an excellent host. She showed us how the air con, wifi, washing machine and sky tv worked. Her modernised apartment on the second floor is spacious, comfortable and finished to a very, very high standard.
The location is ideal for exploring Rome. It is a 10 minute walk downhill to the Roman Forum. Or take the number 40 express bus to the Old fort and St Peters.
The apartment is located on a quiet cobbled street. A few doors down, is a popular Tratoria with good Pizza’s. Also close by on the main street is a deli for amazing pastries and if you look carefully you fill find a Spar supermarket two blocks away.
Everything you need for a week in Rome, I would stay here again.Graham
A fantastic, spacious apartment in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we ever travel to Rome again, wouldn’t hesitate staying here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.Michelle
Spent one evening in Rome & wanted to be close to the Colosseum. This property was perfect! Gabriella was very easy to deal with & even emailed a list of things to do while in Rome. We are a family of 6 with 3 couples & we had more than enough room. The apartment had everything you could need even a washer & dryer. Wifi worked fine & showers were great with plenty of hot water. All in all a wonderful visit.Jo Ann
This was our first airbnb experience. Gabriella and her sister, Francesca, were excellent hosts. They were waiting for us when we arrived and the apartment was exactly as described. The apartment was large, clean and comfortable for our group of 5 people. The apartment is located close to restaurants, markets and public transportation. The neighborhood felt safe and predominately locals, not tourists. We would definitely recommend this place and the hosts to our friends.Jonathan
We stayed in this apartment for four nights in January. Carola was a wonderful hostess and explained everything in the apartment in English when we arrived. Carola was gracious to meet us at a time convenient for us, both on arrival and departure.
The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and spacious. Me, my husband and three kids had plenty of room. The apartment had everything we needed – oven, washer, dryer and dishwasher.
The apartment was walking distance to the Coleseum and Roma Foro, a great location!
Thank you Carola!Karen
We were a party of 5 on a Christmass trip to Rome; the apartment was very nice and well suited: 2 big tables, space and a nice home feeling, wonderfully equipped kitchen, all in an extremely good location to discover Rome on foot.
However, we suffered a recurrent drainage problem – in both showers, both toilets and all sinks. Carola, who replaced her sister Gabriella, was quick to help the first time although most of us visited the Vatican museums without having had a shower! The second time, however, on Christmas Eve, we thought a quick professional intervention was not probable so we took the job on ourselves, which ended up taking us several hours. When we succeeded in contacting Carola on her mobile we had nearly sorted it out ourselves.Siska Leger
Their apartment is wonderful. Great people. It’s just like the pictures. Very clean, roomy, everything is as stated. Air conditioning works great. Within walking distance of most everything, but the Vatican. Easy walk to Roma Termini. Restaurants and grocery nearby as well.Dawn
Gabriella’s apartment is stylish, comfortable and spacious. Conveniently located it is in a quiet neighbourhood and is literally steps away from Santa Maria Maggiore.
Everything we needed was there, including a full bag of washing powder in the laundry, a bottle of cold water in the fridge, cookies in the kitchen cupboard and sweets in the living room. We also appreciated there’s wifi, cable TV and a modern but quaint lift. For 4 days we were so proud to call it our home away from home!Cindy
Gabriella and Mara were a pleasure to work with. They were flexible and accommodating. The apartment was as described, clean, well appointed and comfortable. Great location!Sheila
Gabriella and her husband were extremely nice and met us on time upon our arrival in Rome. They made us feel extremely comfortable and were as easy to talk to as an old friend. They were very hospitable (they even provided water and wine to welcome us to the apartment) and gave us their number in the case we had any questions or in case we needed anything. They really couldn’t be any nicer. They had prepared a guide for visitors including their favorite restaurants, locations of services and contact information for car services.
The apartment was extremely nice and very clean. All the appliances were modern. The bathrooms were very nice as well and looked to be recently remodeled. The apartment is conveniently located a short walk from the train station (maybe 1km?) and a very manageable walk to some of Rome’s historic sites. Additionally, there are some wonderful restaurants close by, as well as a supermarket and a fantastic bakery. Our stay at Casa di Lina was very enjoyable, and we look forward to our next stay!
